We loved the T- shirt but needed the print for a cover for my husbands prosthetic leg. He was in an awful accident a year and lost a leg as a result. He is a Beatle Fanatic and we had to put them on his new leg. Thanks for the awesome art and it was the perfect size.

Artist's Description

Pueblo Girl copyright Ayasha Loya

Pueblo is not the name of a tribe. It is a Spanish word for village. The Pueblo People are the decedents of the Anasazi People. But to keep things straight, many historians use the year 1300 CE to make the switch from Anasazi People to Pueblo People.

Women taught the girls to cook and to make pottery. The men taught the boys how to hunt and weave. The kids had strong bonds with both parents, and a huge extended family that included grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. Pueblo families shared their belongings. Kids did not have anything of their own. Everything belonged to everyone in the family.

My subjects range from florals, figurative, landscape, animals, etc… With my passion of history, I enjoy learning techniques and styles from the Masters of Fine Art. Most recently, I have been greatly inspired by Pablo Picasso finding his techniques with her culture to bring life to the Native American Arts. “To create is to take voices of a culture that was once silenced and be an inspiration to the world through and educate...
