The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The wooden frame includes a hanging wire for easy mounting on your wall (see photo on the left).

Artist's Description
Print depicts Brigadier General Winfield Scott on horseback leading his infantry brigade. The Battle of Chippawa was a victory for the United States Army in the War of 1812, during an invasion of the British Empire's colony of Upper Canada along the Niagara River on July 5, 1814. One of a set of prints entitled "U.S. Army in Action" published by the War Office.
